In 2021, Ethnic Support Council awarded $1,000 college scholarships to three local high school seniors who are immigrants, refugees or are children of immigrants or refugees.
The following year, college students from the local area also were encouraged to apply. In 2023, Ethnic Support Council expanded eligibility to include include students who are Black, indigenous or people of color. Dr. Phyllis Cavens doubled our capacity by generously donating $3,000 to establish three new scholarships in her name specifically for Kelso and Longview high school seniors.
Please work with Ethnic Support Council to open the doors to higher education for students from diverse backgrounds by helping us build our scholarship fund.
