Our office hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
Ethnic Support Council offers several services to people of color and those with limited English skills.
In Office Assistance and Referral Services
PROVIDING INTERPRETERS/TRANSLATORS: Accompanying clients to (medical/legal/education)
appointments; translating documents, letters and emails; phone/online communication translation, etc.
PROMOTING PUBLIC HEALTH: ESC works with our community health partners to provide COVID-19 education and pop-up vaccine clinics; bilingual messaging of public health announcements; encouraging clients to seek medical assistance without
fear; and providing medical resources and healthcare access information.
SOCIAL SERVICES: Providing resources to obtain basic needs, housing, education, employment,
medical treatment, legal assistance, and supporting crime victims. ESC also has a clothing/food pantry
for clients and families.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Collaborating with schools, businesses, agencies, and groups to develop an
understanding and acceptance to all cultures and colors. Educating service providers to enable them to
better serve minority population.
CELEBRATING DIVERSITY: The ESC sponsors the annual International Festival, annual International
Dinner, and other events to celebrate the cultural richness and diversity of our community.
We know a strong and healthy community begins with embracing diversity.

Our interpreters are available for medical, educational, L & I, legal, and other appointments. Please call at least several days or a week in advance to schedule appointments that require an interpreter. Most requests ESC receives for language interpreters/translators are for Spanish, Chuukese, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Russian. Other languages are available by calling (360) 636-2791.
